Community Gardening Project

We were involved in setting up a community gardening project. I am a total beginner when it comes to growing anything. I don't have house plants, as I have a tendency to kill them lol! So as far as gardening goes, it usually consists of mowing the grass, trimming the hedge and weeding the border.

So anyways, in January we decided to give it a go and do you know what - we LOVE it!

We've got our little raised bed (6ft x 3ft) and in it we are growing Mixed Salad, Carrots, Onions (Red & White), Garlic, Peas, Cauliflower, Raddish, Broccoli and Leeks :-) We have a communal Potato plot and fruit cage. Its all really exciting! I never thought I'd be excited over gardening, but well I am!!

After 3 months and taking lots of pictures I decided to make some layouts to celebrate our garden :-)

I used My Happy Garden to make them. The preview is below:

That's all for today, but I'll be back soon & might have some exciting news ;-)

Really Rubbish!

Gosh I'm terrible, its been sooo long since I've posted about anything! There's no excuse really, just the usual being busy!

Its my little girl's birthday tomorrow...I say little girl, but she will be 10! I have no idea where those years have gone, they've just flown! We're having friends over today and getting the BBQ out for the first time this year. Can't wait, there's nothing like good friends, good food and good weather :-)

We went out for the day yesterday, to a historic house. The weather was gorgeous and we had a lovely day :-) Here's some pictures from the day:

I made Beth's Birthday cards last night. I've printed them flat, but gonna print them and make them in layers. Here's a peek at them :-)
